The purpose of this role is to maintain and manufacture press tooling and moulding tools.
Job description
Main Responsibilities:
- The key performance indicators of a Toolmaker are;
- To meet and set delivery dates and schedules
- To ensure that all equipment and gauges are manufactured to drawings
- To maintain decentralized operations machinery
- To assist production department in machine and equipment maintenance
- To ensure set quality standards and accuracy of all parts are achieved
- To ensure that safety regulations are observed in all aspects
- To ensure that work is carried out efficiently.
Minimum requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric/ Senior Certificate
- Toolmaker with Trade Test
- 10 years “post apprenticeship” experience in a toolroom environment, maintaining, repairing, and manufacturing of precision tools
- Pneumatic and PLC experience
- CNC Milling experience
- Good knowledge in CADKEY and EDGECAM
- Must be a good communicator
- Manufacturing experience
- Must work shifts
