Are you a technically driven individual with a passion for network monitoring and IT support? We are looking for a skilled and motivated NOC Engineer to join our dynamic Network Operations Centre team. About the Role As a NOC Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring all open service calls are resolved within stipulated timeframes. You will leverage your technical expertise, resource management skills, and service management tools to meet contractual requirements and maintain exceptional service delivery.
Job description

  • Monitoring systems and networks to identify and respond to faults timeously
  • Logging, handling, and escalating requests and incidents appropriately
  • Liaising with third-party suppliers and managing escalations through to resolution
  • Maintaining WIKI pages and technical documentation of NOC processes and procedures
  • Continuously developing your knowledge in network and system administration
  • Participating in a 24x7 call-out rota, including scheduled overtime on weekends and public holidays

Minimum requirements

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Information Technology
  • A / N Certification
  • MCITP Certification
  • CCNA Certification
  • (Advantageous: Patton Certified | SIP School Certified)
  • Minimum 12–18 months experience in a Technical Support or similar role
  • Proven track record within a NOC, IT, or ISP environment
  • Basic knowledge of ISP networking environments
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and protocols such as MRTG, NAGIOS, TMS, CMS, and Wireshark
  • Experience analysing system and network performance using monitoring and graphical data
  • Experience diagnosing network and service issues and driving them to resolution
