Introduction
The purpose of this position is to provide component manufacturing and product assembly support for previously industrialised products, while optimally converting Product Baselines (PBL) generated by Design Engineering into Manufacturing Baselines (MBL) for new product development projects. The role applies DFx principles to minimise unit costs, improve product quality, and reduce time to market.
Job description
•Drive the industrialisation of new products and product modifications.
•Actively participate in the product design phase to influence manufacturability, assimilability, and cost.
•Optimally convert Product Baselines (PBL) into Manufacturing Baselines (MBL).
•Use the pre-production phase to evaluate and update Manufacturing Baselines (MBL).
•Ensure all Impact Engineering Change Proposals are implemented effectively, considering cost, stock levels, phase-out requirements, and implementation plans.
•Provide technical support on assembly and component manufacturing processes.
•Initiate and execute failure diagnostics and corrective actions.
•Compile and submit technical and progress reports.
•Perform administrative functions in accordance with company processes and procedures.

Minimum requirements
•B-Eng./B-Tech. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
•Project management experience.
•At least 5 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary manufacturing environment.
•Experience in the new product development.
•Exposure to tool and die making, an advantage.
•Exposure to electronics, an advantage.
•Self-driven, enthusiastic.
